One might do a great deed by taking a bag of old clothes to the local Goodwill or Salvation Army. But ladies, we can offer something more– BRAS! If you have any bras that have been collecting dust in your dresser, give them a wash and ship or drop them off at a bra recycling center. Here are some awesome organizations to chose from:

Career Closets is a non-profit organization in northern California helping women dress better for their job in donated business clothing. http://www.careercloset.org/

The Bra Recyclers buy and sell recycled bras, which are re-distributed through exporters and organizations to developing countries around the world. http://www.brarecycling.com/

Just follow 4 easy steps:

1. Wash It. All bras should be washed.

2. Tag It. Fill out Bra Recycling Form.

3. Box It. Place your bras in a box or large envelope.

4. Drop It Off or Mail It to:

3317 S. Higley Rd, Ste 114-441

Gilbert, AZ 85297

Bras for a Cause is a distribution center that sends out bras to shelters, breast cancer survivor support groups, charities and others all over the world all year long. http://www.donateyourbra.com/index.html E-mail donate@donatebra.com for shipping information.

Dress for Success Worldwide has more than 100 locations or DFS affiliates dedicated to implementing the DFS mission–promote economic independence for disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a network of support and career development tools– at the community level.

Find one near you here: http://dressforsuccess.org/dfs_affiliates.aspx

Lastly, drop by your local women and children shelters for there is most likely a woman in need of the support and comfort of a bra. We might take these garments for granted, but others see them as a gift to be treasured. Spread the love!
